NBA Playoffs: Also Known As The Best Time Of Year

5 Things To Remember During The NBA Playoffs

It's NBA playoffs time of year and it tends to bring out a different side of me. Growing up my brother was really into watching the games so naturally, I became very interested too. I've lived in the suburbs of Cleveland, Ohio my whole life and recently Cleveland has been up to some great things in the sports world. Last year the Cleveland Cavaliers won the Championship title and the Indians made it to the finals almost winning a Championship title. I'm more interested in basketball than baseball personally, here are my tips on making it through NBA playoffs successfully.

1. You Can't Watch Every Game But You Can Try

I always want to watch every NBA game on television but it is nearly impossible to catch every game on. Whether it's work in the way or you have homework or other commitments, I've learned that you should just get updates on your phone from some game verses watching all.

2. Don't Let A Loss Hurt You

Losing games really hurts me especially if we had a 2-0 up on a series. Just recently we were down by 25 but came back and took the win. Sometimes you conquer like that and sometimes you just take the loss. Just remember there's seven games for a reason.

3. Focus On The Game

Personally I've noticed that people like to live tweet during the game and talk about what's going on but it's really distracting. If you're watching the game just focus on the game and leave your phone aside for awhile. It'll make the game more enjoyable and let you actually see all plays without missing any.

4. Pray Your Favorite Player Doesn't Get Hurt

During playoff time injuries do occur but it's best to pray that your players don't get hurt and hopefully they make it through all of their series strong. That'll give them the best chance it can to win.

5. Be A Good Fan

Whether your team is losing or winning support them. Last year so many fans thought the Cavaliers wouldn't make it to the finals and let alone win and they did. Being a good fan isn't hard to do. Support your team during the wins and during the losses and you'll do great.

That's my best advice for the NBA playoffs and I hope you all watch them as much as I do!

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
