Don't jump to conclusions too early. Players can only be on the all-decade team from one decade, so sorry LeBron, but you're a 2010s player. Not every player will play the position he is listed at. We live in a positionless world.
Point Guard: Allen Iverson
Don't tell me that Allen Iverson was strictly a shooting guard. The Answer could play either guard position as well as anyone in the league at Iverson's prime. He almost single-handedly turned around a 76ers organization and carried them all the way to the finals, averaging over 31 points per game in the 2000-2001 season. Only Kobe was strong enough to stop Iverson.
Shooting Guard: Dwayne Wade
Don't worry Kobe fans, he's coming. Dwayne Wade is now thought of mainly for his two NBA titles with LeBron, but D-Wade was at his personal prime during the 2000s, winning the 2006 finals. He was named an all-star every season from his 04-05 sophomore season to the last 2000s season in 09-10. Wade even led the league in scoring in the 2008-2009 season.
Small Forward: Kobe Bryant
For all those fans who think Kobe can only play guard, I can only say you're wrong. He is a top five if not top three player all-time. He led the league in scoring twice. He was an all-star every year in the 2000s. He even scored 81 points in a game, a record which is second only to Wilt Chamberlain's 100 point performance. If this lineup were real, Kobe would likely be the focal point of the offense.
Power Forward: Tim Duncan
This was a hard position to choose. It was a toss-up between Duncan and Kevin Garnett. In the end it came down to success in the finals. Duncan had three finals wins in the 2000s, Garnett only had one. Duncan had great teams, but Tony Parker and Manu were no Ray Allen and Paul Pierce. Duncan averaged a double-double every year in the 2000s and never shot below 49% from the field.
Center: Shaquille O'Neal
Shaq was considered by many to be the most dominant big man of the 2000s. Listed at 7'1, 325 lbs. during his playing days, he certainly had the size to take anyone down. Although some would say Shaq was a 90's player, He won all of his four NBA finals in the 2000s. The diesel played with both Kobe and Dwayne Wade and helped each of them win their first rings. He also led the NBA in field goal percentage eight times during the 2000s.
