So this weekend I volunteered at the 4th annual Naturalista Hair Show in Silver Springs, Maryland, and let me tell you it was indeed a show! All of the gorgeous, voluptuous hairstyles and amazing hair products were everywhere, so I wanted to share some of these things with you guys in case you missed out.
Let's start with the behind the scenes set-up of the event. I arrived around 3 o'clock on Saturday to help with the fashion show that would take place at 6:30 pm. Makeup artists were bustling to get the models runway ready as they squeezed and slid into these beautiful garments made by up and coming fashion designers. I was lucky enough to enjoy the show after all of the hard work the team and I had put into it, and I felt a sort of pride watching my efforts come together for the show. Here are some images of the outfits showcased that night, and let me tell you they were stunning!
Then came day two, which was the actual hair expo. This was where vendors could come and sell their products to the general public. I volunteered with a couple of friends, and I was so glad that I did! The organizers were very pleasant, and they directed us where to go and what to do without a hitch. The actual volunteer work was fun! We got to go around to all of the vendors and see their wares, help them set up for the incoming customers, and even got to model for them!
Two of my friends also volunteered with me for the day so it was a blast. Not to mention the hair products! All of them were made for natural hair, and had completely healthy ingredients to fit all types of Naturalista's out there. By the end of the day, I was a very satisfied customer and will be more than happy to volunteer my time to next year's show!
