Natural Skin Care Routine #2

Every once in a while you need to change things up. This is not only true for our everyday life, but also for our skin care. I know many people who have to be continually rotating skin care routines. When doing this is a healthy natural way, I believe can really help your skin to look and feel great!

This is the 2nd blog post that I have written about my skin care routines. The first one has a lot of homemade products as well as what I use to take off my makeup. In this post, I am going to introduce you to some new products that I have been trying, and what I am doing right now.

Branch Basics

This one I included in my last skin care post. I also use it as an all-purpose cleaner. The product is so clean, that I used it on my face and have never gone back. I use this for washing my face and taking off makeup.

Moisturizer

This is Mango Butter moisturizer that is absolutly amazing. Mango butter is one of the best "butters" you could use in comparison to coconut butter and shea butter. It is a great anti-aging as well as a natural sunscreen.

Apple Cider Vinegar

Can somebody please tell me what Apple Cider vinegar doesn't do? Recently I have been using this as a natural toner, as well as a spot treatment.

Bentonite Clay

I have tried a variety of different kinds of clay to make face masks out of. This one has been by far my favorite. I usually mix it with water, ACV, or witch hazel depending on what kind of mask I want.

Witch Hazel

This product is amazing for skin. I love to mix it into a face mask, or make a homemade make up remover.

I hope you enjoyed a sneak into my current skin care routine. I think one of the best decisions someone can make is to take care of there skin without nasty chemicals. I hope this inspires you!

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

Daydreaming

day·dream (ˈdāˌdrēm/): a series of pleasant thoughts that distract one's attention from the present.

Daydreams, the savior of our life in class. Every type of student in the classroom does it at least once, but most cases it is an everyday event, especially in that boring class -- you know the one. But what are we thinking while we are daydreaming?

Puerto Ricans. They are very proud people and whether they were born on the island or born in the United States by Puerto Rican parent(s). It gets even better when they meet another fellow Puerto Rican or Latino in general. You’ll know quickly if they are Puerto Rican whether the flag is printed somewhere on their person or whether they tell you or whether the famous phrase “wepa!” is said.

If it hurts now, it'll hurt again. Not because you're gullible or naive, only because you fall fast, hard, and you do it every time.

We fall each and every time with the complete and utter confidence that someone will be there to catch us. Now that person we SWORE we were never going to fall for has our hearts, and every time we see them our palms start sweating. The butterflies in our stomach start to soar and our hearts are entirely too close to bursting out of our chests.
