The 5 Best Natural Places To Swim In Northern Ohio
Nelson Ledges Quarry Park

It's mid summer and the weather is (mostly) hot here in Ohio, there's almost nothing better than taking a dip into some nice cool water. But a pool isn't always available of course. If you're willing to drive, there are some great natural watering holes to go to, swim and have fun in!

1. Nelson Ledges Quarry Park

My favorite place to go during the summer is Nelson Ledges. Not only is it an amazing state park to hike in, but the quarry is incredible. There's a beach, and a lot of rocks including a 20 foot cliff that you can jump off of into the water. There's also food vending, little clothes and art shops, a playground and camping! It's a wonderful, family friendly place to go hang out and swim right in Nelson, Ohio.

2. Chagrin Falls

A lot of people know Chagrin Falls but I'm sure many people don't know of the multiple swimming holes within it. Your next trip this summer, wear your swimsuit and go searching, you'll have an amazing time!

3. Punderson State Park

In Newbury, Ohio lies Punderson State Park. A beautiful place to go with friends and family to swim! Take a drive, make a trip of it, and have a great time in the 150-acre lake. It also has a golf course and a campground and other recreational things for anyone going to enjoy. It truly is a beautiful place to behold.

4. White Star Park

A little beach in Sandusky that includes other fun recreational things to do in the park as well. The water is nice and well kept and it's sure to be a fun stop for cheap.

5. Walnut Beach Park

Right outside of Genevea-On-The-Lake is a little beach open to the public. I highly recommend it. There's a playground to enjoy as well as fairly clean water and a trash-free beach!

Now that you know these little places, you can take a short drive and go and enjoy nature while swimming, and stay cool this summer!

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
