Natural born leaders are often defined as people who are worthy of that trust and organically lead by example. There are a million google-able definitions to what natural leadership is. To me, it is someone who enables and empowers people to work with them. It is the bossy person in your friend group who knows how to decide where you are all going to dinner that night. It is that kid in your seventh grade class who you never elected to be in charge, but kinda took charge anyway.
How Natural Born Leaders Feel on the Daily:
You are always the team leader when assigned random group projects.
Some people cringe at the thought of taking charge, but you’re a natural born leader. You can’t help but break the ice and get the job done.
You have no idea what it’s like to lay low when there’s an issue that needs to be resolved.
Looking the other way is not in your skill set. You always have your two cents ready to throw down in the face of problems. Bullying? Discrimination? Injustice? You shut it down in seconds flat.
Advice flows from your lips like the River Nile.
You're known on the streets as "The Fortune Cookie." Even the greats like Oprah and Dr. Oz have nothing on you.
A natural leader doesn’t necessarily intend to lead; others simply feel naturally compelled to follow. (Or put another way: A natural leader doesn’t lead, he or she just is, and others just naturally follow.)
Whether you are someone who is a natural leader or someone who has to work a little harder at your leadership skills, your leadership is important and valuable. If you are a natural leader, do not take offense to when people tell you that you are bossy. Take pride in the fact that you can take charge.
One day all those things you learned from being the leader on accident in a group will come in handy and you may actually be the boss or team lead.
However that does not happen unless you hone your skills and cultivate all of the characteristics that makes you the fabulous leader you are.
