My weekend in Nashville, Tennessee was spent checking things off of my Nashville Must-Do list. Something I have been waiting to do for a long time and thanks to a best friend I was able to. Although not everything got checked off here are some things I can honestly recommend because I have been there and done that.
1. Find as many Murals as possible.
2. Browse the Vanderbilt Barnes and Noble.
To all my book lovers out there, this is a two story Barnes and Noble that doubles as Vanderbilt's bookstore. I was able to search and find a lot of good reads that were on display and pick up some must have notecards for studying this semester.
3. Eat in 12 South.
I may have taken a mug from Frothy Monkey after paying $15 dollars just for lunch. I also may have fallen in love with the fried Mac & Cheese bites from Burger Up.
4. Go to a concert.
Nashville is known for music and odds are you can go to a free concert. I was able to see Judah and The Lion for free at Live on the Greenand it was amazing.
5. Get dessert somewhere.
Whether you go to Jeni's ice cream or the Sprinkles cupcakes ATM, splurging on dessert is a must.
6. Go shopping.
When I say this I don't mean your average target run but instead somewhere unique like Two Hippies or White Mercantile. Someplace Nashville specific.
7. Go Downtown.
Whether you are driving through, people watching or bar hopping, Downtown Nashville is not a place you want to miss.
8. College Tours
Belmont and Vanderbilt are in the heart of Nashville. They are both unique and hard to miss. I encourage everyone to walk through a campus in a new city even if you already have a home at another school.
I may not have checked everything off of my list. There are still places to go, sights to see and restaurants to eat at. Including but not limited to Pinewood Social, Five Daughters Bakery, The Pharmacy, Ryman Auditorium, and Broadway. All of these would make great reasons to come back, and I honestly can't wait until my next trip.
