Summer 2017 is the time for change and trying new things. Painting your nails isn't for everyone, but if you do enjoy having your nails painted, now is the time to try different nail colors to see what works for you. Previous summers showcased bright nail colors, but this summer more neutral nail colors have been released for the season. Here are a few of the newest nail color collections released for this year:

1. Essie S'il Vous Play Collection

This collection contains six new shades that are perfect for summer. Personally my favorite shades from the collection are the muted blue shade named "blue-la-la" and the orange shade "fondant of you". The full collection can be found here.

2. OPI California Dreaming Collection

This nail polish collection contains mostly nude/pink shades with a few bolder colors included. My favorite shades in this set are a rose shade named "Excuse Me, Big Sur!" and a glittery gold shade named "Sweet Carmel Sunday". The full collection can be found here.

3. China Glaze Summer Reign Collection

This collection sticks to the traditional bright summer colors from previous years. It includes a large array of bright tropical colors to choose from. Favorites from this collection are a green shade called "Emerald Bae" and a cobalt blue named "Simply-Fa-Blue-Less". The full collection can be seen here.

These are the three big collections that have been released so far for this summer. With lots of colors to choose from they show what colors are trending this summer to wear on your nails.

Dear Mom,

You took care of me and my brothers our entire lives and you still continue to! I will not be able to truly grasp all of the hard work that you put into this family until I create my own one day. But, I know that there are plenty of times I forgot to give you a simple thank you or an appreciative smile. I thank you for everything that you have done for me and will continue to do for me. Here are some examples of those times where you had my back and I forgot to pat your back for saving me:

College is hard. As people ages 18-22, we’re just trying to figure out what we’re doing with our lives, our careers, our eating habits, exercise routines, sleep patterns, and other necessities for adult life. We definitely don’t take proper care of ourselves; it’s basically impossible when we have essays, tests and readings due and somehow we’re supposed to eat right, exercise and sleep. We’re doomed to get sick. I have zero experience in science but when I get sick there are certain things I do to make myself better.

Now that it seems “talking” is the new way to date, and will stay that way until another idiotic term is used to describe the people who can’t settle down and just date someone, I feel as if it’s time to go over the unwritten rules of “talking.”

Rule 1. Having feeling without feeling.
