As soon as I begin to feel to the first cool breeze of fall I start to look forward to all of the events the season that of Autumn has to offer. New England is known for it's beautiful fall foliage, festivals, and activities. I have included my list for my top ten favorite activities to do in the fall below.

1. My favorite festival to go in the fall is located in Connecticut. It is called the Durham Fair. The fair has a country theme, and there are events for people of all ages. There is even a concert venue where several bands play, and this year the band Foreigner will be headlining. The Durham Fair is also famous for their unique food vendors who sell fried-oreos, chocolate covered bananas, and giant turkey legs among many other types of food. It is the largest agricultural fair in Connecticut, so fair-goers have the opportunity to see many different types of animals including sheep, cattle, and llamas.

2. The fall foliage is New England is absolutely breathtaking. I would suggest taking a road trip to a mountain in either Vermont or New Hampshire to take a scenic gondola ride. It can make one truly appreciate the beauty of the season of autumn.

3. The season of fall grants people the opportunity to get together with family or friends to make baked goods using seasonal food. My personal favorite seasonal foods to make are pumpkin bread, apple crisp, and homemade apple cider donuts.

4. I would recommend taking a ride on the Mount Washington Cog Railway in New Hampshire. It will you allow to reach the summit of Mount Washington while being sheltered from the cold fall weather. When one reaches the top of Mount Washington they would be able enjoy the beautiful views of the mountain from the observatory.

5. A fun event to go to in Connecticut is the Lyman Orchards Corn Maze. It is quite popular and every year the four acre corn maze has a different theme. It is great to participate in this event because part of the proceeds from the ticket sales are donated to the American Cancer Society.

6. One of my favorite activities to do in the fall is to go apple picking with my friends. My personal favorite orchard to go to is Rogers Orchards, which is located in Southington Connecticut. The orchard sells seasonal foods such as apple cider donuts, fresh baked apple pies, and delicious maple candies.

7. The most famous fall festival in New England is called the Big E. The festival runs from September 16th to October 2nd. There are unique food and craft vendors that people come from all over New England to enjoy. There is also entertainment including music ,shows, and parades. This year the Lee Brice, Elle King, and X Ambassadors, will be playing on the Xfinity Theatre at the Big E.

8. If one likes to exercise the Farmington canal is a trail where people can walk, run, or bike. It is especially beautiful in the fall season.

9. In New England there are many gorgeous places to hike. In Connecticut many people enjoy hiking Sleeping Giant which is located in Hamden Connecticut. There are also many beautiful ski trials to hike up in Vermont and New Hampshire.

10. Lastly, the most unique way one can view the fall foliage is by taking a ride on a hot air balloon. There is a company called High 5 Ballooning located in Derry New Hampshire, that will allow one view the fall foliage from a different perspective.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
