Since it is the finale of RuPaul's Drag Race, I will be picking my top looks from the winner of season nine. Sasha Velour has brought a different style to season nine. She brought a more artistic approach and with her own sense of weirdness. With her having a shaved head because she lost her father and her sister to cancer her bald head gives a tribute to her fallen relatives. I really think she did deserve to win the crown; she was never in the bottom two and never had to lip sync for her life. Plus, she won multiple challenges. She beat her top competitor Shea Coulee in the first round of the lip sync face off; also, if you have not seen the finale I recommend it and you would see what I mean. Let us look at Sasha Velour's top looks from RuPaul's Drag Race.

1. The promo

This is the first look that we get of Sasha Velour. What I like the most about this is the headpiece. It compliments her shaved head and it ties into the color scheme. Another thing I like is the feathers around the shoulders and the gloves. Also, I love the Tinker Bell puff balls on her shoe.

2. Club Kid

What I like from this outfit is the contrast between the pink and blue. the concept of a clown is a nice touch. The only thing I would change is the gloves, but the makeup is on point and overall a gorgeous outfit.

3. Night of a thousand Madonna's part 2

This look is inspired by Madonna's song Erotica. I personally think that this outfit and a couple others were the only one who resembles the actual outfits that Madonna wore. The corset is perfectly cinched at the waist. I like the overly exaggerated collar and that mask is magnificent.

4. White Party realness

This is one of the times Sasha would wear a wig. I like the fact that the dress is entirely made of feathers. Also, of course, I am a sucker for things that are shiny. It is a good take on the theme of white party and I absolutely love this dress.

5. RuPaul's Roast

This is giving me Cruella Deville realness. the red compliment the black and white. What really put this outfit together is that hat and the leather gloves. This look is very iconic Sasha Velour. It is very artistic which is Sasha's specialty.

6. Final lip sync look

This look Sasha is the one in the mask getting ready to go up against Peppermint for the crown. Her mask splits into three part and OMG when she revealed her face I was living. The outfit reminded me of something Lady GaGa would wear. Absolutely stunning.

7. Finale Red Carpet

This dress screams "I am here and I am ready to take my crown now Mama Ru." I love the blue accents. That collar which is very Queen Elizabeth the first and the train is a nice touch. This outfit is perfect for Sasha.

So congratulations on winning, Sasha Velour, and may your reign as queen treat you well in your future career as America's next drag superstar. P.s. that wig reveal was everything and is going to go down in Herstory.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
