For more than half of my life my favorite genre of music has been classic rock. Every time I listen to classic rock I listen to mostly my top 5 bands. My top 5 classic rock bands are as follows:

5. The Zombies

The Zombies’ style and rhythm is very unique. Ever since American Idol season 6, in 2007, I have been really in love with the song “She’s not there.” In the beginning of the song with the piano verse and the soft lyrics, quite possibly one of the best love songs I’ve ever heard in my opinion. Even though they are number 5 they are certainly not my least favorite.

4. The Kinks

“Girl you really got me now you got me so I don’t what I’m doing.” One of the most famous lines in English rock later covered by other bands. The Kinks definitely had some iconic songs like “You really got me” and “Lola.” I love this band based mainly for their song lyrics and the way they perform. The Kinks, when I listen to them and their smooth guitar riffs they literally sound like one of a kind and their music is truly amazing.

3. Pink Floyd

When some people think of classic rock one of the bands they think of is Pink Floyd. Pink Floyd is definitely one of my favorite bands of all time with their incredible style and charisma. Their albums “The Wall” and “Dark side of the Moon” are two of their best albums they have had. When I’m in the car driving to and from my internship Another Brick in the Wall is always on my playlist of songs to listen to. The solo at the end of the song is truly one of the smoothest solos ever.

2. The Rolling Stones

We have reached the top two bands and most definitely the two most influential bands of the classic rock era. Number two on my list are The Rolling Stones. Satisfaction is one of the most played classic rock songs in history. The millions of records these guys sold and still performing is ridiculous. “Start Me Up” and “Sympathy for the Devil” are just two of the incredible songs these guys have produced.

And my number 1 band without a doubt is:

1. The Beatles

In the history of Rock there has never been a more inspirational and iconic band then The Beatles. The impact that this band had on the world is still to this day amazing. The hundreds of songs they made is still to this day played by millions of people including myself. The Beatles is number 1 for me because of the way they could take such simple phrases and turn them into something quite magical. For instance, the song “Hello Goodbye” two words we say on a daily basis, The Beatles turned these two words into one of their incredible songs with is truly magical. In my opinion, there will never be another band with the same talent and the same level of presence then The Beatles. The Beatles are not just once in a lifetime they are once ever.

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.
