My Time On "The Hill"

A reflection on my experience

My Time On "The Hill"

My last semester in college was my first semester upon the beautiful campus of Spring Hill College. My time upon "The Hill" has been amazing and I can not wait to continue it next semester. Although this last semester was amazing it did have its ups and downs as any situation does but overall I came out on top.

One of the best things I have experienced is the people on "The Hill" and I am glad that I met those people. The students at Spring Hill College are some of the nicest people you will ever meet. Spring Hill College students truly care about each other. I think that it is so important for a college to have that sense of community! Everyone looks out for each other and I just want my other Springhillians to know that people do notice and that it is appreciated.

Another thing that I reflect on is the campus of Spring Hill College itself. The campus is so beautiful it inspires you to want to do well. I have maintained such good grades at Spring Hill College because of the environment. The trees and the flowers that are always standing tall and beautiful makes me so comfortable. I do not mind going outside and reading a novel for French Literature in Translation because the time just flows away into the wind. I appreciate the loveliness of Spring Hill College. Living on a beautiful campus just makes you want to work hard and be apart of something great. It is quite phenomenal.

Reflecting back on my semester I also seem to realize I also have fallen in love with the connection I get from my professors. I am transfer student and at my last college the connection with your professors was just bleak, besides the one or two teachers that actually cared. Here at Spring Hill College, our phenomenal staff care about us and they never mind emailing you back or talking to you and I appreciate that more than you know.

I would just like to say to all my fellow Springhillians you guys really should appreciate all that Spring Hill College has to offer. Spring Hill College has a sense of purpose on its campus and everyone here has purpose in life. Appreciate our school because we are truly blessed to go to school here.

I must say that my experience at Spring Hill College has been the college experience I always dreamed of. I have enjoyed making new life long friends and being taught by teachers who actually care. I must say there is no other place quite like Spring Hill College! In other words, there is no place like home!

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.

From sea to shining sea, the United States was uniquely positioned for an incredible Aurora Borealis display on Thursday, Oct. 10, 2024, going into Friday, Oct. 11.

It was the second time this year after an historic geomagnetic storm in May 2024. Those Northern Lights were visible in Europe and North America, just like this latest rendition.

To My Loving Boyfriend,

  • Thank you for all that you do for me
  • Thank you for working through disagreements with me
  • Thank you for always supporting me
  • I appreciate you more than words can express
  • You have helped me grow and become a better person
  • I can't wait to see where life takes us next
  • I promise to cherish every moment with you
  • Thank you for being my best friend and confidante
  • I love you and everything you do

To start off, here's something I don't say nearly enough: thank you. Thank you, thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart. You do so much for me that I can't even put into words how much I appreciate everything you do - and have done - for me over the course of our relationship so far. While every couple has their fair share of tiffs and disagreements, thank you for getting through all of them with me and making us a better couple at the other end. With any argument, we don't just throw in the towel and say we're done, but we work towards a solution that puts us in a greater place each day. Thank you for always working with me and never giving up on us.

Because no one ever really leaves.

Ah, yes, good old Hauppauge. We are that town in the dead center of Long Island that barely anyone knows how to pronounce unless they're from the town itself or live in a nearby area. Hauppauge is home to people of all kinds. We always have new families joining the community but honestly, the majority of the town is filled with people who never leave (high school alumni) and elders who have raised their kids here. Around the town, there are some just some landmarks and places that only the people of Hauppauge will ever understand the importance or even the annoyance of.
