My Thoughts On The New Year
I'm Breanna Rose

I don’t know about you, but I am a procrastinator. It is something I am not very proud of. I know exactly how to live an impeccable life, but it is just the doing it part that I have problems with. Keeping a clean house, spending more time with family, and finishing my “to do” list would most certainly make for a more peaceful lifestyle. So instead of making New Year’s resolutions that I know I probably will not follow through on, I have decided to finish all the things I already have started in my mind. The things that I just never get around to are the very things that are weighing me down. I know that all the undone things floating around in my head are part of my energy problem, because when I think about it all I get overwhelmed. I began this a few days ago by cleaning a few corners of my life that I have been ignoring, and I must say it felt good. I am going to continue this throughout the year by finishing something that has been weighing on my mind each week. My goal is to have a clear head by the end of 2017, and I really feel that it is doable this time. I bought a calendar just for this endeavor, and am going to write down my weekly task on it, and then at the end of the year look back over all my accomplishments. This idea is also helpful for me because I like variety for sure.

Take your time and really think about what would make your daily life better, and then try to do one thing each day, or each week that will work towards that resolve. The biggest change happens from changing our mindsets, and that can come from changing a simple daily habit. It does not have to be a huge thing either, it can just be small changes that make all the difference. I know that when I make my bed and take a shower first thing in the morning, that makes all the difference for my daily mindset. Whatever it is that makes you the happiest, reach for that, because after all it is the best way to exist!

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?
