WARNING: SPOILERS

I saw "Avengers: Infinity War" opening night, and I honestly have never been on a more wild ride of emotions. I’ve waited a week and a half to talk about the movie to give other fans a chance to see it before I inevitably spoil anything. However, like the warning says, SPOILERS.

This movie was a wild ride of ups and downs, twists and turns, and pure chaos. The film picks up where "Thor: Ragnarok" left off, and within the first 5 minutes, my jaw was on the floor. Loki, our beloved (sometimes hated) trickster has passed on to eternal life. He died a hero's death, sacrificing himself in an attempt to save his brother, Thor.

To be honest, I expected him to die, but as I watched Thanos’ giant hand wrap around his neck I sat there watching and waiting for Loki to do something, anything, to escape the clutches of his demise. But that’s not what happened. This scene set the tone for the rest of the movie. It showed just how cold and heartless Thanos is (something that will be reiterated in a later scene with Gamora). But this scene set the tone, and from then on, it was a guessing game of who would die at his hand next.

Nobody is safe in this movie. There are 76 characters across part one and two of "Infinity War," over 40 of them in part one alone. So when I say no one is safe, I mean it, no one is safe. You have to expect when Thanos’ main goal is to gather all 6 stones and bring balance to the universe by destroying half of life, some of our favorite heroes are going to go bye-bye. That being said, there's no way to mentally prepare yourself.

One of my favorite heroes lost his life, and I'm still upset about it. However, there’s also no way they’re going to all stay dead. As Dr. Strange looked into the future, he saw the one possible outcome where the Avengers win, and in giving the Time Stone to Thanos, Dr. Strange told Tony Stark, and I quote, “We’re in end game now.”

I think that he knew that in order for them to win Thanos had to gain all six stones and achieve his goal. Now the only problem is that when Thanos wiped out half of all life with the snap of his fingers he took Dr. Strange with him. What I think is that Dr. Strange set in motion their endgame, and now in his absence, it’s up to the remaining Avengers to take the right steps in defeating him.

*Side note* I blame Star-Lord for what happened. Yes, Thanos is one mean son of a bitch, but they had a plan! Tony, Peter, Dr. Strange, Drax, Mantis, they had the gauntlet off his hand! But due to his blind rage, he sabotaged the plan and ruined everything!

Nevertheless, I have faith in the remaining Avengers to do what they need to in order to restore the universe and bring Thanos down. One thing is for sure, I can't wait for part two next May.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
