This Spring Break, my roommates and I decided we are going to take a trip to visit Kentucky (where one of my roommates is from). I have never been to Kentucky before and I can not wait to see where my roommate grew up. Here are some things that we have discussed doing and are looking forward to!

1. Go Visit Rabbit Hash

I know this sounds crazy, but there is a town whose mayor is...A DOG! An elected dog as a mayor sounds insane! We want to go visit this small town and see if this "myth"our roommate has been telling us about the "dog mayor" is true! Maybe we will even get a picture with him. This town is located in Boone County, Kentucky and only has a population of about three hundred people! I had more in my graduating class!

2. Try goetta.

Goetta is a delicacy in Kentucky and is a German-American sausage that people tend to eat for breakfast. My roommate's grandparents mentioned this to me when they came to visit so I can not wait to finally try it! This breakfast sausage is a combination of meats as well as oats and is similar to Scrapple (something I grew up eating and LOVE)!

3. Go four wheeling.

Although I do not know if we will get to do this, I know that four wheeling is an extremely popular activity to do in Kentucky when it is not too cold out! Based on the time of year, I do not think we will get to but if we get the chance to I know I will be so excited. I have always wanted to go four wheeling!!

4. Try a snowball from Schneider's.

I have had snowballs in Maryland many times and they never disappoint. Apparently at Schneider's, they have the best snowballs ever! Snowballs are a combination of Italian ice and ice cream in one and it is like heaven in your mouth! I have always enjoyed snowballs and am always willing to try again and from different places!

5. Go to Skyline.

Skyline is the place to find the best chili! Skyline chili is well-known in Kentucky and is constantly being recreated by people who have eaten there. It is a combination of cheese, chili, and spaghetti. If that doesn't sound mouth-watering, then I do not know what does. I know I will be full for days after eating it, but I will be completely content with that!

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
