To My Soul Sisters

Carrie Bradshaw said it best when she said "Maybe our girlfriends are our soulmates and guys are just people to have fun with." because when it comes to pass at the end of the day the guys in our lives may go in and out but our soul sisters are here to stay forever.

To My Soul Sisters,

When we think about soulmates we usually think about our significant other who we plan to spend the rest of our life with. Soul sisters are defined as "two or more females who click on every imaginable."

it's amazing to me how well we work. We are completely different in almost all aspects of our lives but somehow we fit together like puzzle pieces. We have such a strong bond and connect with each other that most people cannot relate to nor do they understand it.

I want to say thank you for always being there for me whenever I need you. I am so blessed to know you and get to have you by my side to walk through this crazy thing called life. Thank you for being my shoulder to cry on when I get my heart broken. Thank you for always putting me first even when I ask you not to because you know I need you. Our friendship is something I cherish more than anything.

I am so glad that no matter what road life takes us down we have each other. Life is all about finding and creating yourself while also finding people who accept the person you have created. You, my soul sisters, are those people who accept me for me.

In life, we only meet a few true people and you my dears are those people. You have the biggest hearts, you love so openly, freely and without regret. You are such a wonderful kind spirit.

I love all of the time we get to spend together because there is not a second we are not laughing. It is so wonderful to be able to say I have friends like you who do I have a true loving friendship with and not just a superficial one.

Carrie Bradshaw said it best when she said "Maybe our girlfriends are our soulmates and guys are just people to have fun with." because when it comes to past at the end of the day the guys in our lives may go in and out but our soul sisters are here to stay forever.

I will forever be grateful to say I have had friends like you in my life forever. Nothing could ever come between us soul sisters.

I love you!

With love always,

Your Fellow Soul Sister

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. These are eleven thoughts that I have as a writer while writing my stories.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
