With the premiere of “American Horror Story’s” sixth episode many weeks ago, we can now know for sure that this seasons theme is “Return to Roanoke: Three Days in Hell”, but what we still don’t know is how much more we can take. “American Horror Story” has taken this season to an all new high and level of horror with graphic depictions of cannibalism, murder, suicide, and basically anything else you can think of.
In recent episodes, we have seen almost everything imaginable and I’d like to take a minute to talk about it so if you haven’t caught up yet or watched episodes six through eight yet I’d advise you to stopping reading here. There will be a lot of spoilers ahead.

All I Can say is wow. Let’s start off with episode six. Basically, what we know from the start of episode six is that “AHS” has turned into a show within a show within a show.... showception, but this doesn’t last too long as everyone begins to die—surprise, surprise.
In the beginning of episode six we learn that Sarah Paulson’s character Audrey and Evan Peters’ character Rory are married and Lily Rabe’s character Shelby has cheated on her husband, Matt, played by Andre Holland, with Dominic Banks, who is played by Cuba Gooding Jr. From here everything basically begins to go downhill as Rory’s death occurs at the end of the episode. I mean Evan Peters is dead already…absolutely tragic.
Now, in episode seven we see Kathy Bates character, Agnes—or as she likes to call herself The Butcher—murder the television crew and attack Shelby because all she wants is fame, which sends Lee, Monet, and Audrey out into the woods to look for help and Dominic and Matt to watch over Shelby. Soon enough though, Matt disappears and Shelby and Dominic find him with Gaga’s character to which Shelby murders Matt as she catches him cheating on her with the Supreme again. Meanwhile, Audrey, Lee, and Monet, are caught in the woods by the Polk family and are forced into cannibalism and Agnes gets killed after summoning the real butcher outside of the house that Shelby and Dominic are holed up in.
In episode eight, things start to get a little more graphic—I mean the cannibalism was pretty bad in the last episode, but now everyone is starting to be killed left and right. Specifically, Shelby kills herself after realizing that she murdered her husband, Lee continues losing flesh to her cannibalizing captors and also admits to the murder of her husband in episode three, and Audrey is getting her teeth pulled by the Polk family. When they finally escape back to the house though they find both Matt and Shelby dead and believe Dominic to have done so, so they throw him out where he then gets killed by the Piggy man.
Now if that doesn’t explain the ‘I don’t know how much more we can take’ comment than I don’t know what does. “American Horror Story” has taken its ranks to all new levels with this season and it seemingly continues to get more and more intense with each episode. All we can hope is that it doesn’t get any scarier or I may have to stop watching, but I guess we’ll see.
