My Review Of "Home"

"Home" by Blue October is a new song on the radio, that was released in 2016. The song is about making a house a home with the one you love and appreciating the life that he has.

Here is an except from the song.

"I'm living for the right now
I had a few friends show me how
I take a deep breath and blow it out
Let it go

But listen I—
I can't wait to see what's around the corner
I can't wait to soar
Baby, I lie awake and I watch you sleeping
thinking it's the little things that make a home

Like dancing in the kitchen in the pale moonlight
Only care in the world is that our kids are all right
Daddy loves mamma and mamma loves him
Tomorrow we get to do it over again

So smile at me, baby, take my breath away
With the good Lord willing, I'll be happy to say
That daddy loves mamma and mamma loves him
Tomorrow we get to do it over again
"

These lyrics say everything about what the song is about.

Finally, we have a song about appreciating what is in front of us. I was pleasantly surprised when I listened to this song for the first time. We need more songs like this. Appreciating the little moments in life. I can't listen to more songs about heart breaks and how you don't know if you can go on anymore. We need more songs like this in the world.

This song makes me smile every single time I listen to it. It gives me hope that one day, I will sing this song and know exactly what the lyrics mean. Yes, I am a 19 year old college student that doesn't have a husband or kids. So I can't fully understand the beauty of waking up next to my true love, dancing in the kitchen under the pale moonlight, and loving the fact that tomorrow is a brand new day, with the same things.

This song makes me appreciate the way I live my life. It makes me realize that I have to appreciate the little things, that I came from a loving household and I have been given so many wonderful opportunities. I grew up in a loving household with two wonderful parents and three amazing siblings. I am lucky to come from a house like that. My parents have been incredible role models for me and for everything that I hope to have one day.

I hope one day, I will be making my house, a home, with my husband and kids. This song makes me hopeful that one day I will go to sleep excited to live the same life the next day. Going to work, coming home to a loving husband and raising our kids. It makes me excited to see what is going to be around the corner in ten years.

This song is beautiful. We need more songs like this. It makes the younger generation hopeful for what is around their corner.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

There have been many lessons learned.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
