My Questions For God
Tyler Powell

There are many questions that I plan on asking God when I get up to Heaven. There are the typical, more serious and deep ones that everyone wants to know, like why does God let bad things happen to people who try and live their lives for Him? And why are some people born into terrible situations? Of course, once we get up there everything will probably make sense immediately. But there are some personal questions that I really would like the answer to...

Bugs...Why???????????

This is my main question. Bugs just annoy me and scare me to no end. I can't enjoy a nice picnic or walk outside because there are always bugs trying to land on me and bite me. Their creepy little legs creep me out to no end. ARE THEY REALLY NECESSARY? COULDN'T YOU HAVE MADE THEM LESS ANNOYING/AFRAID OF HUMANS/JUST NOT EXIST AT ALL???? All of Your creation is beautiful in some way, Lord, but I could really do without these...

Why Don't You Show More Clear Signs?

I know trying to figure out Your will for my life probably builds my character and faith...but it would really be nice if you could just clearly spell out for me what Your will is and where you want me to go. What major should I pick? What career do you want me in? Who do you want me to marry? Should I eat this chocolate cake or lay off the sweets for a while? Life would be so much easier if You would clearly tell me what You want. But then again, mystery keeps life interesting, and keeps me seeking You. So in a way, I am grateful, even if I get stressed out about this a lot.

Are You Okay With Tattoos? And How About Screamo Music? And Playing Violent Video Games?

Thoseare legit questions, and every Christian seems to have a different opinion on them. I have my own opinions, but sometimes I question if my opinions are ones that line up with Your Word and Your ways. I mean I'm sure once I get up to Heaven, the answers to these questions won't matter anymore, but you never know. If You could answer them now that would be even better.

Can You Show Me All The Times In Life Where You Saved Me From Harm?

Of course You can! You're God! But will You? I'm just interested in seeing all the times when I thought things were going wrong, but it was really just You pointing me in the right direction. I'm sure I also fail to recognize most of the times when You caused something good to happen for me. For now, I'll just thank You for those times, even if I don't know what they are. Hopefully when I get to Heaven, by Your grace and mercy, I'll be able to see those times and laugh with You.

There are a variety of things I'd like to ask God. Some serious, some not so much. I'm not sure exactly what Heaven will be like, but just in case we're able to ask questions, I'll keep adding to my list, and maybe God will answer them while I'm here on Earth.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
