My New Year's Resolutions

My New Year's Resolutions

Most people have “New Year's Resolutions” whenever it's a new year. They keep their resolutions to themselves and accomplish them before the year ends.

As for me, I always set my goals high and keep them to myself. It doesn't matter if my goals are impossible or easy, I want to accomplish the goals and be happy. I always write my “New Year's Resolutions” on my notebook, so I can keep in touch with them. Here are my New Year's Resolutions:

  1. Explore in Oregon

After the Spring semester, I'm going to Oregon and staying at my friend’s, Christian, house over the summer. I've never been to Oregon before, but I can tell it's a great state, becaude of the city. I want to explore over there and go for a run every day. Also, I want to make videos while I'm there.

  1. Make Dean's list

I've never made Dean's list in college, but I'll get over a 3.0 GPA every semester, not a 3.5. So this year is the year to strive for it.

  1. Make the ASU track team in Fall

Last year, I told all of my friends that I'm going to try out for the track in the Fall of 2016, but I didn't, because I doubted myself and said that I'm not going to make the team. However, I feel confident that I will make the team in the Fall of 2017.

  1. Take no L’s

In 2016, I took a lot of L’s, when it comes to arguing or etc. However, 2017 is the year that I have to step my game up and bounce back. (Make sure you guys listen to Big Sean - Bounce back.)

  1. Be on a diet

I eat a lot of junk food non stop especially when it comes to Pizza, In N Out, Panda Express, etc. I don't want to get fat and look like Nutty Professor. So, I want to be on a diet in 2017 and stay fit.

1. Hike

I don't hike that much. However I want to hike every mountain in Arizona, especially the Grand Canyon.

Those are my New Years Resolutions and I will accomplish them by the end of 2017. As Joel Embiid always says “TRUST THE PROCESS”

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

eye roll

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"

While this question trend can get annoying, there are a couple of pros to having RBF.

Yify

Another day, another Elle Woods comment. Can’t us blondes get through the day without someone harping at us over the typical stereotypes about who we are? I never understood why a person was judged based upon the hair color they were born with, or the hair color they choose to have (unless you dye your hair blue like Kylie Jenner, I’m still trying to understand why that’s a trend). Nevertheless, as it should be assumed, not everyone is the same. Not all blondes like bright colors and Lilly Pulitzer, and not all blondes claim to identify with Marilyn Monroe. I think the best suggestion to give to people before they make such radical claims is to stop judging a book by its cover. Or in this case, stop judging a blonde by her hair color.
