Recently, a friend of mine showed me a video game that he had bought on the Xbox store, and I have to say I am absolutely addicted now. I am not the best, by any means, you might actually say that I am the worst. But, I have to say, Rocket League is a hell of a game.

Rocket League is a fairly new game that came out in the ladder half of 2016. It consists of small cars that can go ridiculously fast, and the object of the game is basically to play soccer. There are two teams, one ball and you guessed it two goals.

Like most games there is an element of customization. Every time that you play, you can unlock certain aspects of the game. From arenas to different cars. Some items are more practical where as others are just very astatically pleasing. For instance you could win a match that was set to a difficulty of easy; and only receive a common paint job for your car. This is a nice little wrinkle where you can trade it a bunch of common items for what they deem an epic item. An epic item is something that is really hard to unlock on your own, however you can almost “buy” it by winning so many matches.

As I had mentioned earlier there are different difficulties to this game, however, I did not mention there are several different game modes making there infinite possibilities of things you can play. The traditional soccer game is the standard game mode but there is also a basketball game mode and a game mode that adds accessories to the car to make you do some really crazy things.

As you can imaging smashing a soccer ball and other cars seem like it is super fun, and you’d be absolutely correct. This is the most fun game I have played in a while. I really can’t put my finger on why I love the game so much, but I do. It could literally be the testosterone talking but nevertheless I really love the game.

I really hope as the game matures, that there will be new perks and other cool features that are added, because who doesn’t want that! I encourage anyone to play this game, it is really worth the money.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
