I don't know exactly where it began but, somewhere down the line, I thought it'd be fun to pile a whole bunch of responsibilities on my shoulders. Oh, but I'm not complaining. I love the excitement of five deadlines all within the same day. The truth is, I'm addicted to working. I love being productive. Otherwise, I feel like I'm not contributing to society. I have this weird dream of me being a businesswoman making phone calls, taking notes and getting things done all in designer heels and a pencil skirt. I know, far-fetched dream--I could never rock designer heels and a pencil skirt. But, so far, I've been creating, what is to me, the life that I always wanted.
I always wanted to explore and discover new and exciting things. I don't like to settle down for one dream or passion because I have several. I'm passionate about writing, reading, blogging, exploring, makeup, fashion, and love. You're probably wondering: "How does one fit all of that into daily life?" It may sound very overwhelming and quite terrifying, but you make it work because it's what you love.
My addiction to multi-tasking began in March when I officially became a Content Creator for The Odyssey Online. At first, it was one article a week, but now I can't stop. I keep writing over and over again and, on top of that, I decided to begin a novel. Now, this isn't me gloating about my amazing multi-tasking skills, but you have to admit that it's impressive that a nineteen-year-old like me hasn't gone insane with this much on her plate.
Along with my opportunity with The Odyssey and my novel, I got bit by the blogging bug. Just this past week, I launched my first official Beauty and Lifestyle blog. It may be something that isn't exactly the most exciting but, to me, it's something I'm really proud of. I used my own saved money to create a domain and buy a hosting so I can achieve something great.
The main reason why I love to multi-task is because I love to feel proud of myself for the hard work that I do. It's something that everyone should do. You should never wait to do something just because you don't have time, because then it turns into procrastination and, eventually, you'll lose the motivation to get it done.
I'll admit, at times, that it feels like my life is a fast-forward montage of me doing everything, but I love every second of it. And when I'm finally done with my latest project, and I get to sit back and see what I've done, I couldn't be any happier.
