A woman who leaves articles
On my desk about writers
Who have found success.
A woman who could talk
Politics for hours; who believes--
In afternoon coffee, and long
Conversations.
A woman who creates murals
That make me wish I could
Venture inside them.
A woman who is not only a mother,
But... a therapist, life coach,
Motivational speaker, etc.
A woman who chooses to see
the beauty in life, regardless
Of the hardships she has
Suffered.
A woman with a selfless heart,
Who puts her world on hold,
When mine is falling apart.
A woman who swallows her
Fears, so that she can sooth
Mine.
A woman I will strive to be like,
For the rest of my life.
