To my favorite person in the world,
Thank you for being the best mom in the world. I know everyone says their mom is the best mom, but MY mom is actually the greatest. My mom has the heart of an angel... I think God spent a little more time on her when he was creating her. My mom puts everyone else before her. She has sacrificed her whole life to make us happy. She makes sure we have what we need before she even takes care of herself. She doesn't sleep unless she knows we are all home safe. She looks out for us in a way no one else will. She has our best interest at heart. She knows what's good for us, even when we don't.
Even when I have made mistakes and seen the disappointment on my mom's face, she still loves me. She still shows how much she cares about me by making sure I don't repeat my mistakes. She talks my mistakes through with me to understand, instead of judging. She knows my potential and worth, which is why she points out my mistakes, to make me the better person she knows I am capable of being.
Even when I say "I'm fine", my mom knows better. When girls tell their significant other "I'm fine", they believe it. When someone tells their mom "I'm fine", they know the underlying meaning that we are in fact, not fine. My mom knows how I am feeling just by the tone of my voice or the look on my face. She is persistent to make me feel better and figure out what is wrong because she can't be happy knowing I'm down. She makes it her mission to make me feel better and lift me up.
Even when I don't feel like laughing, my mom's sense of humor always works its magic. My mom is the funniest person I know.
My mom is a savage, constant mic dropper, and can roast me like it's her job.
Your mom is the only person in the world programmed to love you unconditionally, whether she wants to or not. If your mom carried you for nine months, you are a literal piece of her walking around as her flesh and blood. You were carried by her for nine months, resting right below her heart. If your mom adopted you, had you through surrogacy, etc., she wanted you so badly that she was willing to do anything to have you. Mom's do not ask for anything, yet they give everything.
Mother's Day is the one day dedicated to our moms, but every day should be Mother's Day.
