Whenever I am asked who I most admire, the first person who comes to mind is my mom. My mom is great. It may have taken me awhile to come to that realization after years of being a bratty teenager (I still am sometimes, but otherwise I'm a gem), but it's hard to deny the fact that my mom is amazing. I could never fully thank her for all that she has done for me the past 19, almost 20, years of my life.
My mom is hands down the most supportive person I have ever met in my entire life. There has never been a moment in time when she has not had my back and given me her full support. Even when I am a total screw-up, or I make bad decisions that she doesn't necessarily agree with, she will stand behind me and tell me that it will all be okay. As I've grown up, I've come to realize not everyone is as lucky as I am to have the amount of support that I do from both of my parents. Through every major decision and obstacle in my life, she has always made it known that her and my dad had my back. Even if no one else in the world believes in me, I know that my parents do.
Another admirable quality about my mom is her positivity. The glass is always half-full in her eyes. Even after a terrible day she still manages to have a smile on her face. I've become much more of a positive person, and that is because of my mom. She constantly encourages positivity, and always tries to find the good in situations.
Somehow my mom knows literally everything. I'm not sure if that just happens when you become a mom or what, but she has an answer to everything. She always knows where my stuff is when I've lost it. How she does that, I'll never know. My mom can give me advice about anything. She always knows exactly what to say, even if it's not what I want to hear. Sometimes, I really need that.
It's hard to put into words how much my mom really means to me and how much she inspires me. She has worked so hard to give me everything I've ever wanted, and I could never thank her enough for that. Moms just rock. LOVE YOU, MOM!
