Then, now, and forever.

My Hero. My Sister.
Personal

As you grow up, you always have your hero that you look up to. Your hero could be a law enforcement officer, a teacher, your parent, or aunts and uncles. It could be anyone! For me, my hero is my sister.

I didn't realize this until here recently, but I'm glad that I did. My sister, my baby sister, has taught me so much. She's taught me what it's like to love someone more than anyone else in this world. Because of her, I'll always have a best friend. I'll always have someone that I can depend on and that'll always have my back.

She's taught me what strength is. When being strong was the last option she and our family had, she was definitely the strongest. She dealt with so much more than anyone else, and I've never seen her be stronger that she was in those moments.

She's taught me what true bravery is. She did and continues to do so many brave things that I could never imagine doing. She's done the impossible and overcome the worst of situations.

My sister is so much to me. She's done so much for me and she continues to do so. My sister, Bailey, is my heart and soul. She is my best friend. She is my rock. She is everything plus more of what a sister should be. No doubt, she's the best sister out there. God knew what he was doing when he gave her to me four and a half years later. He blessed me with so much more than just the average sister. He gave me my hero. He gave me someone that will never let me down. He gave me a blessing that I'm so proud of.

I could never and would never give my sister up. So here's to you Bailey. You are my entire world! Much love sister! I'll never give up on you

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
