First of all, as the old saying goes, the more the merrier. Having one best friend is great, but have you ever tried having a group of your favorite people closely knit together? Having a group of friends that you're incredibly close to has its perks, and luckily, I've been blessed with the best friends in the world.
Considerably the most convenient part about having a group of best friends is simply that you're given a group of very opinionated people, with various outlooks on life. Therefore, when you need advice, whether it be on an outfit or a life-altering decision, you have multiple voices with different opinions willing to pitch in their judgement. Most decisions I make are ones that I can't commit to until I run it by my friends for their opinion. Having multiple people there to help make decisions is great, but also knowing they'll support you no matter what decision you make is even better.
Having a group of friends is also incredible when you're trying to make plans. When you have just one best friend, it can be hard to align schedules. Thankfully, with a group of friends, if someone is busy, there's typically someone else who'd be willing to watch chick flicks, eat pizza or gossip with you.
Social events are a friend group's forte. Parties are the best with a big group of friends, because you've got people you know you can be crazy with, but people you know won't let you be TOO crazy. School events like prom, homecoming games, academic awards nights and everything in between become much more exciting when you've got a group of friends to share the fun with, and not to mention the pictures you take while attending these events are beyond adorable. School is even great with a group of friends because you're almost guaranteed to have at least one of your close friends in all of your classes, which alleviates at least a little bit of the stress that comes with school.
Lastly, as with all great friends, a good group of friends is a good group of supporters. When someone in a friend group goes through a hard time, it's almost promised that that person will have multiple people willing to come together and help out. We work as a team when we need to, and that's something that I'll always be thankful for in my friend group.
Through the sassiness, the laughs, the adventures, the memories, the smiles, and even the tears, I wouldn't trade my group of friends for the world. I thank you all for continuously having my back through everything, and proving to me that friendship comes in various forms.
