My Go-To Cheap Wines for a College Budget

College is hard. College is especially hard because you're ballin' on a budget. And college is even harder than that if you are ballin' on a budget and love to drink wine.. Because hello, wine is expensive if you don't want to die of a hangover. So, I did the college world a favor and decided to compile a list of not-so-expensive wines for everyone to use as a go-to. Ill start with the absolute cheapest and go from there.

Trader Joe’s Charles Shaw Wine. Regular bottle $3

Okay if you don’t know about this – NOW YOU KNOW. Such an amazing deal and the wine isn’t bad. Also doesn’t give you a hangover and is ORGANIC!! Wow!!

Barefoot. Regular bottle about $6

Duh! This wine is SO CHEAP. its like $8 for a gallon bottle of this stuff. And I don't even like white wine and I like their Pinot Grigio. Also seriously every time I go into Publix its like its on sale again.

Gnarly Head. Regular bottle about $7

If you are feeling a little fancier than Barefoot, Gnarly Head is my go-to. I also like their Cabernet, and not Barefoots.. So it works. Also the bottle is so cute!! (Perfect for your wine night snap story).

Rex Goliath. Regular bottle about $6 - $7

This wine is yummy and has a rooster on it!! The wine is surprisingly mom approved, and is hangover proof as well. As long as you don’t drink more than a bottle that is.

Clos Du Bois. Regular bottle about $9

This wine is slightly more expensive than the first three, but it is delicious and worth the extra dollar. Plus, I have noticed that the price has dropped and is on sale a lot.

Clayhouse Wines. Sale: two bottles for $16

This is a GREAT sale. Sometimes it’s even buy one at $15 get one for free. This wine is definitely more expensive but when it is BOGO its WORTH it. It’s delicious.

Smoking Loon. Regular Bottle about $10

This wine is delicious, and I discovered it when it was BOGO at Publix. I know some people are hesitant about BOGO wine and they think it moght be bad, so I am letting you know that its delicious, and also, it is worth the extra $2.

RELAX Wine. Regular bottle about $10 - $11

A little more on the expensive side, especially compared to trader joes, but it comes in a cute bottle and tastes great. It is also on sale often at Publix.

Box Wine. One box for about $20

Had to give a shout out to the box wine, because it is seriously so cheap and even my parents drink it. Now, I can’t lie to you and say you will have no hangover if you drink more than three glasses, but, I can tell you that it lasts so long (unless you are me and my friends).

Costco wine.

It is seriously every single bottle and kind of wine 50% off. AMAZING. Every time I go I get a case, so..

These are my secrets of delicious cheap wine. Take this info and run with it!!

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

It's not all morning coffees and singing along to the radio.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

I've been in college for four years now. I spent half my time as a commuter and half as a resident so I've experienced both sides of the housing spectrum. One thing I've learned comparing the two is that my struggles as a commuter far outweigh anything I went through while living on campus. Commuters have to deal with the problems school brings along with a slew of other issues; I've filled up my gas tank in the worst kind of weather conditions and napped in random places in public more times than I'm proud to say of. This is a list of some of the most challenging aspects of being a commuter.
