Dear Future Brother-in-Law,

Growing up, it was just me and my older sister. She was and remains to be an incredible role model in my life and my best friend. She has always been my sister, I've never had to "share" her with anyone. We had each other and honestly what more could we need? My sister is and has always been there when I need her and she's always there even when I don't need her. And that's why she's amazing. Obviously, you too, know how wonderful she is since you asked her ever so beautifully to marry you.

I knew the day would come eventually when she would find that one special person who would make her happier than she's ever been before. And the second I met you, I knew that person was you. Once I saw how much more exciting and enjoyable you make her life, I felt comfortable and happy even, to support my sister's fantastic decision to date you.

Little did I know that her decision to be with you would end up being one of the best things to happen to my life as well. First of all, it makes me incredibly happy to see my sister so ecstatic with you in her life. But second of all, I gained an older brother to help guide me while I continue to grow into an adult. Not only has my sister been there for me through thick and thin but ever since the day I met you, you've helped me get through friend drama, family drama, and of course, boy drama!

I cannot thank you enough for being a great influence in my life these past few years and I definitely don't have enough words to thank you for making my sister happier than I've ever seen her in my entire time on this Earth. I couldn't dream up another man better suited for my sister than you and I am so blessed to be able to call you my brother-in-law. I wouldn't want to "share" my only sister with anyone else but you.
