To All Of My Friends On The Internet

Does everyone just have THAT group of friends that you only talk to via the internet, but you have never actually met in person?

To All Of My Friends On The Internet

To my internet friends:

Thank you for always favoriting my tweets, liking my Instagram photos, loving my posts on Facebooks, and hyping me up on Snapchat. We have never met and we probably won't ever meet, no matter how many times we say "we need to hang out ASAP," and you know what?

That is okay. I'm way funnier on social media than in person.

To all of my Facebook friends that have been there since the 7th grade whom I have never met, thank you for watching all of my music videos and fights with random girls who have tried to steal a boyfriend of mine in the past.

Comments left on my pictures such as "I wish I could be YOU" and "SLAY ME" have shaped me into the person I am today.

To all of my Twitter friends that followed me during my 5 seconds of fame, thank you for retweeting. For my non-fans, a picture of me on my two-year seizure free milestone got about 65.5k favorites and well over 5k retweet. I will remember you all when I am (hopefully) famous again.

To all of my Instagram friends, thank you for liking me when I'm ugly. Thank you for boosting my self-confidence without even realizing it. You know good and well that I am only wearing that hot outfit for the Gram.

To all of my snapchat friends, you are all my favorite. Thank you for swiping up on my story to compliment my dog or my best friend. To the random dudes who have my snapchat, thank you for being my biggest hype men but for the last time, no, I will not go on a date with you. I am so sorry. Keep being great human beings though. To all of my girlfriends, there is no one more beautiful than you.

Most importantly, if it weren't for Facebook, I would know none of your birthdays. I'm sorry the truth hurts.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
