What Sparks Inspiration?

Maybe words do come from thin air, because their meanings are limitless.

A word can be basic or complex, they open the doors to millions of other words that make sentences, that form paragraphs, and on a bigger scope, form communication or language. You still with me? Basically, the simplicity of the word, word, is actually in fact, arguably as complex as the Tower of Bable.

Our language expands everyday. Words become popular, which gives them merit, such as, gunna, handsy, half-ass. But I want to mention one word in particular, inspiration. Google's definition is, the process of being mentally stimulated to do or feel something, especially to do something creative.

Its definition carries such depth and reflection. Inspiration can mean something different from one person to the next, it's like a snowflake, no two are alike.

Personally, Who inspires me, is a means to what inspires me. My family has inspired me to be more, because I was given the opportunity to do more.

Your story may be different, you may be more fortunate than I am or less fortunate, it doesn't really matter. As long as you know who or what inspired that drive and enabled you to grow, well. That's all you really need.

What inspires you?

Who inspires you?

How and why do they inspire you?

Not to sound like a reading response question, but if you take a minute to think about where you are in life and how you got there, the answers that come to you, just may surprise you.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
