Personally, I'm a huge classic rock fan, and its the main genre of music that I like to listen to. I also enjoy some Hip-Hop, Pop, and Indie but that's as far as my music taste goes. Most of my favorite songs are by bands or artists in the classic rock genre. Without music in our society today, no one would have an outlet to relieve whatever emotions they're dealing with into something more positive, like music.

Crocodile Rock By Elton John

Elton John is my all-time favorite artist due to the fact that his music is so powerful and uplifting and always brightens up my mood. Crocodile Rock is such an amazing song because of the awesome beat, the electric instruments playing, and the incredible vocals by Elton. This uplifting and fun song is perfect to listen to at any time which is a huge reason for it being my absolute favorite. Elton John's life story is very powerful and inspiring which is why he's my all-time favorite.

Rhiannon By Fleetwood Mac

First off, Stevie Nicks's amazing vocals will automatically make any song 100 times better because she's just so amazing and powerful. Rhiannon is such a chill song that comes along with such an amazing vibe and is the perfect song to listen to in a car on a warm summer day. The melody just flows so well during the song and is so catchy as well. Fleetwood Mac as a whole delivers some of the most amazing songs with incredible vocals, instruments, and beats which is another big reason why I'm such a big fan of theirs.

Enter Sandman By Metallica

With this song being such a hard rock classic, I had to put it on my list. Enter Sandman is one of my all-time favorite Metallica songs because of how amazing the instruments sound in this song. Since it is a harder rock song, it may not be for everybody but it is for sure one of my favorites.

Earth Song By Michael Jackson

I feel like this song is way too underrated for how incredible it really is. At first Earth Song starts off pretty slow but the beat gets louder and just flows beautifully. Jackson's intent was to create a song that was lyrically deep yet melodically simple, so the whole world could sing along. This song has such an emotional message and continues to be one of my favorites because of how powerful it is. Michael Jackson never seems to disappoint with the music that he produced and put out during his career.

Bohemian Rhapsody By Queen

Honestly do I even need to put a reasoning on why this song is such an amazing anthem? Its a classic! Everyone knows this song because it's incredible and is so enjoyable to listen to. The lyrics are insanely catchy, and Freddie Mercury is just an amazing singer overall. if you haven't heard this amazing song, youre totally missing out!

Even though there's so many amazing artists and songs out in the world, these are my all-time top 5 favorites. You could say that I was born in the wrong generation just because of my music taste which I'm totally okay with. Older rock music is just what I grew up on and so I have such a huge appreciation for it now that I'm a teenager.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
