It's no secret that I'm a big horror movie fan since I was about 6. I love horror for the suspense, terror, and fear that it instills on you, as you anticipate what's going to happen next or when the killer is going to pop out. Now here is my list of horror goodies that are my favorite and hopefully will intrigue you to watch them.

1. Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon (2006)

A horror movie that is in a documentary form set in a world where Jason Voorhies, Freddie Krueger, Michael Myers are real. However, this movie focuses on a man named Leslie Vernon who aspires to be a famous killer and is recorded in this documentary. This movie is definitely unique when compared to other horror movies that focus on the supernatural, Monsters,

2. Slither (2006)

One of my favorite horror comedy movies that I still enjoy to this day. This movie is about weird parasites eating and infecting people to spread them.

3. Puppet Master (1989)

A horror movie that I enjoyed watching when I was younger. This is about living puppets causing mayhem and murders when they are freed from their chest.

4. The Descent (2005)

A horror movie that takes place in a cave as friends explore and find that they aren't alone. Instead, they find peril as they try to escape when they encounter the evil creatures inside.

5. Halloween (1978)

This has to be here as I absolutely love the classic horror movies!

6. Psycho (1960)

Absolutely love the way Alfred Hitchcock directed the movie and Anthony Perkin's performance as Norman Bates is amazing.

7. Hostel (2005)

I love the Leatherface character and the family that he has. The original is the best in my opinion and the remakes are terrible as I saw them.

11. The Babadook (2014)

An indie horror movie that is pretty good and I recommend watching it. The movie focuses on the Babadook a creature from the same-titled book that threatens the son of the protagonist.

Hope you saw something that would interest you or makes you excited to check one of the movies on my list. If not, well thanks for reading!

Epic Creation Myths: Norse Origins Unveiled

What happened in the beginning, and how the heavens were set in motion.

The Norse Creation Myth

Now, I have the everlasting joy of explaining the Norse creation myth. To be honest, it can be a bit kooky, so talking about it is always fun. The entire cosmos is included in this creation myth, not just the earth but the sun and the moon as well. This will be a short retelling, a summary of the creation myth, somewhat like I did with Hermod's ride to Hel.

If you're like me and LOVE some good throwback music, here's a list of songs from every genre that have gotten lost in time, but never truly forgotten.

Summer is hot and humid, and it's almost like summer was made specifically to drink the refreshing, cold, crisp wonderful, delicious, nutritious nectar of the gods. Which is none other than beer; wonderful cold beer. With summer playing peek-a-boo around the corner while we finish up this semester, it's time to discuss the only important part of summer.
