One of my favorite things to do in my spare time is to read about conspiracy theories. I love reading about what the internet is cooking up, even if I think it’s not true. Call it a guilty pleasure. As a result of the time I’ve put in to reading conspiracy theories, I’ve decided that I wanted to put all my favorite celebrity theories into one place and share them with other people.
1) Taylor Swift is a member of 4chan
So this theory started when an anonymous user on 4chan said that they were a famous person and that they’d answer any question they were asked. Someone asked the anon what they did for a living and the person said that they were an entertainer in the Top 50. Later on, the anon submitted a picture of them to the website, but you could only see part of the person’s face. Right around this time, Taylor Swift uploaded a picture of herself to the internet - and the background was pretty similar to the 4chan anon.
The next bit of evidence is another (or the same?) anon. They got a new kitten in November of 2011 and wanted name ideas for it. 4chan decided on the name Meredith . . . and the next day, Taylor Swift released the info that her new cat was named Meredith.
Taylor also tweeted “Nothing quite like a freezing cold, wintery beach” with a picture of herself standing on a beach. There was a user on 4chan who posted the exact same thing the same day.
And finally, there was the great Charles Phoning Taylor Hashtag Incident. There was a Boston radio contest held in 2012 or 2013. The winner would be able to talk to Taylor Swift on the phone. Obviously a lot of people wanted the chance to win, but surprisingly, one of the leading contestants was a 39 year old man named Charles. 4chan and Reddit got together and decided to rig the contest so that he could meet the famous singer and either smell her hair or ask her if she really did lurk around on 4chan. There was even a hashtag for the campaign to see him to victory.
Then, abruptly, the contest was cancelled before a winner could be declared.
According to Charles, he entered because he just thought it would be fun, not expecting to go viral. Nobody explained to him why the contest was cancelled or ever contacted him about it.

2) Tom Cruise’s love interests are under contract
According to some people, Tom Cruise has never had a legitimate romantic relationship with the celebrities he’s dated. Instead, the Church of Scientology put out a very discreet call for people to audition to be possible wives to Cruise for a set amount of time. The woman would be paid to marry him, and could divorce him after 5 years if she promised to stay silent about this particular Church’s involvement and the contract.
Actresses like Scarlett Johansson have been offered a contract, but eventually Katie Holmes won the audition and married Tom Cruise.

3) Avril Lavigne died after she released her first album
First for some context: the “real Avril” won a singing contest in 1998. Her friends from high school were later ditched when she decided to pursue a career in music. Specifically, singing. In 2001, Avril signed a contract with “music mogul LA Reid”. Let Go was a phenomenal success: it was the second best selling album in the world. Avril was projected to fame, and as a result, she found that being famous wasn’t glamorous. So, she hired a body-double to confuse paparazzi when she went out so that she could have some peace of mind.
Things were going well - well enough that Avril was going to release a sophomore album. This is when her tragic story starts. Her parents divorced in 2003, which would obviously take an emotional toll on any teenager, and Avril was no exception. During one of/around her writing sessions, her grandfather died. Faced with personal loss, fame, and having to write more music, Avril entered a very dark, depressed phase. Instead of getting better, she died. Her record label and family kept quiet about the death, and her body-double moved up to take Avril’s place in the spotlight full-time.
Many fans have pointed out the physical differences between Avril and Avril 2.0, mostly seen in her face. None of the music that Avril 2.0 has ever been as good as Let Go (which would be difficult to beat). But there wasn’t much else to go on, as far as I can tell - until A-2.0 said that she was diagnosed with Lyme disease.
It’s an illness that humans receive from tick bites that’s debilitating, though you can recover from it. That wouldn’t be anything of surprise, except that A-2.0 said that she was immobile and in bed for about six months, when she realized she was ill around her birthday (at the end of September). But she - or the real Avril - was spotted buying cheese at a supermarket around this time, when she should have been in bed.
4) Beyonce is much older then she says she is
Beyonce was born on September 4, 1981. So officially, she’s 35. Perhaps there was never much evidence about her age, or much thought given to her age until her father made an interesting comment on The Breakfast Club, a radio show. He was discussing the talented singers he worked with the mid-90’s and said, “P!nk … "is the exact same age as Beyoncé ... You had Usher; he was the same age. All 14 and 15 years old living in Atlanta.” Now, P!nk was born in 1979, so Beyonce would be two years older then she claims. Bianna Golodryga has also said she went to high school with Beyonce…which would make her at least 38, if not older.
I’m not a Bey fan, so I’m not sure why she’d lie about her age - does she want to hang onto her youth as much as possible? Did her father learn about the whole age conspiracy and decide to give a subtle nod to it for publicity for his daughter?
