I couldn't be more ecstatic that fall is right around the corner (September 22nd, in case you didn't know). I love all fall activities because it isn't too cold and it isn't too hot, it's like the perfect temperature to be outside and comfortable. There is nothing better than activities that are extremely relaxing and fun at the same time. From admiring the changing leaves to beginning Christmas shopping, I love it all. Well, in honor of everyone's favorite season coming soon, I have decided to share 10 of my favorite season activities. I'd love to hear what everyone else loves to do. Hope everyone enjoys!

1. Admire the changing leaves. Autumn is about the leaves changing! Why not go out and admire mother nature. It's beautiful and it's there for us to look at.

2. BONFIRES! There is nothing else that screams "autumn is coming", like a good ole' bonfire! Get your marshmallows ready and gather your sticks, graham crackers, and chocolate. Make your amores and have a good time!

3. Attend every football game possible and never forget to tailgate. In North Carolina, especially, we love us some football. You're with your friends, you have your drinks, food and games! Let the fun begin!

4. If you can't attend them, watch em' on TV. Sunday Funday's are the best days! Enjoy your football and your food. BTW GO COWBOYS!

5. You can never read enough books. Fall is the season to read and enjoy books in the cool weather. My favorite is ANY Nicholas Sparks book! So, read as many books as possible.

6. Go pumpkin picking. Pick the biggest one you can find. I always sit them around the outside of my house! But, please just don't be this kid!

7. Carve and paint those pumpkins too! My favorite is painting, I hate gooey stuff on my hands lol. I don't do too good with the seeks and guts on my hands, so i'd rather paint and go on with my day.

8. Go trick-or-treating, no matter how old you are. I absolutely love trick-or-treating! It was always my favorite thing to do as a kid and I still to this day go trick-or-treating! I'm never too old for candy.

9. Enjoy every little bit of Thanksgiving! It's a day you can eat all you want without looking like a pig and just sitting around and enjoying all the company. Thanksgiving is the holiday that is kinda like a fall and winter holiday. You are getting ready for Christmas while still being thankful for everything around you.

10. Finally, my last thing to do during the fall is start my Christmas shopping! Christmas is my favorite holiday so I love to start early and get ahead.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies. Here is a few signs that you may live in the library, whether you'd like to admit it or not.
