This week begins a family vacation. Family and vacation are two words that will always have a special place in my heart.
Family. For me, family can be defined as surrounding yourself with people who care, acknowledge, and love you. Once a person is surrounded with a supportive family, they become better people. There is laughter that's brought up, memories that are shared, and unforgettable moments that are cherished. Another reason why family is so critical is that at the end of the day, they're everything. They're the ones who will always be at your side. The ones that will make sure you keep your head up. The ones that will truly love you forever.
Vacation. When hearing this word I automatically think of palm trees and the ocean waves crashing onto the fine sand. With vacation there is plenty of time and money put into it; although everyone goes on vacation to relax, I think vacation is a way to escape your worries... until reality hits in a few days later. Furthermore, vacation is a happy thing. Something that usually brings smiles and sunshine to a person, well at least that's how I feel about it. The way you can lay back and forget all your worries for a few days or so is honestly wonderful.
You're probably wondering what these two words really have in common, right? Well, from words stated previously, both conjure feelings of happiness and warmth. Family vacations are something that are irreplaceable, nothing can take away the amazing memories you've made from them.
On this family vacation that's just begun I cannot wait to see what my family and I experience together. Things that will only make all of us bond and grow together; all of the young, middle aged, and elderly. I'm so glad I get to share this time with you.
