I am the queen of the bitch face
I am the ice caps sitting on the top of Mt. St. Helens
And my tears are the melting, pouring, running ice water.
I have traveled the world. I have loved.
My heart has settled, bloomed flowers and
Been set on fire.
The sun has set upon me, melting
Layers off my skin,
Peeling me away to the core.
And I have thrust my heart onto plates
At the hands of others.
My tears have flooded lakes.
My eyes have put people to silence-
My lips have brought men to their knees.
They have also brought me to a death in my own mind.
I have swam to the bottom of the ocean.
I have flown to the surface of the sun
And a garden has bloomed in my mind and died again.
I have seen it all
I have felt it all
And I have watched the castle walls come
Crumbling down,
Only to be built back up again-
But I am the queen of the bitch face.
No one knows the hell you walk through
Or the tornadoes you create
Until it is over,
And all you have left
Are the stories to tell.
