My Everyday Blessings.

Ask God to reveal Himself and He'll show out.

My Everyday Blessings.
Sara Worley

I see Jesus everyday.

Y'all know what I'm talking about right? Those moments when God's presence is so abundant it takes your breath away, chills cover your body, and tears feel your eyes. I've listed a few that get me every single time.

The way my husbands says my name.

Y'all, this man of mine is amazing. This marriage of ours is faaaaarrrrr from perfect but when he says my name, I know he's the one our Creator designed for me. We're big on pet names and I'll call him by his name when I'm being serious or when he's aggravating me; which is a lot. However, he doesn't say my full name hardly ever. Not even daily, maybe once a week. When he does it's in a convincing me he's not going anywhere way, or he's truly sorry for whatever he's done wrong, or just to remind me he's the lucky one. These moments are when I think about all the tears I cried over all the "guys"'I dated and prayed God was watching out for me and my future spouse; and that my friends is exactly what He was doing little did I know.

In my little girl's laugh.

This one is breathtaking. Her laugh reminds me of just how precious life is and how undeserving I am but God still loves me. Loved me so much He gave His only Son to wipe away my sin. What if He asked me to do the same? Y'all, I can't even fathom that. His love for me is beyond something I can even grasp.

The walk to my grandparents house.

I was raised by my maternal grandparents and for that I'll be forever thankful. What those two have accumulated over the years together is beautiful. I see it every time our family gets together. Walking from my house to theirs I see the hard work, love, and tears that have held this family and land together. My house sits exactly where the house I spent the first 12 years of my life at. The big oak tree my sister and I had made countless mud pies under still stands for my own children to do the same. Without God, and lots of prayer, none of this would be possible.

In the way a friend prays at church.

You ever come across those people so anointed and on fire for God when you're around them you feel like you're at revival? Y'all this sweet friend of mine usually opens us up in prayer every Sunday in Sunday school and in the midst of her praying I'm doing all I can not to fall out. I swear. It's moving. God speaks through her every single time she opens her mouth. I'd like to invite every single one of you to First Baptist Cochran so you can witness it first hand. You'll leave different then you came. I promise.

I don't know where you are in your life or you personal walk with God. You may be on the top of a mountain or way down in the valley. Whichever it may be, I challenge you to look around you and find some Jesus in your surroundings. Ask God to reveal himself to you and He will. May be your child, your spouse, or even when you turn on the radio. These reminders will be sure to show you that you are not alone whatever you may be struggling with or celebrating in life. Let me say this, I'm not a perfect Christian. As matter of fact, I'm full of sin, but my Lord loves me anyway and continues to shower me with grace and blessings no matter how many times I fail.

Sorority
Rebekah Lee

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
