11 Dream Vacations

There are so many places, but I'll stick with a few for now.

11 Dream Vacations

I have never really taken a vacation in my life, and it's kind of depressing. I know I have the rest of my life to dedicate toward vacation time and other fun time, but I wish I would have at least taken some kind of vacation by this time in my life. I'm 22 years old, going to be 23 in July, and I know plenty of people that are younger than me that have taken more vacations than I could ever imagine taking in a lifetime. Of course, I have plenty of places I'd love to go to when I do take a vacation. I just have to save up the money first before I get to go to any of the following places.

1. England

My family is from England, and I would love to visit it to see where I come from and also meet half the family I've only heard about or have seen pictures.

2. Route 66

I've only ever been on one road trip in my life, and it was only to pick up the dog we bought from Oklahoma, so it was a typical road trip where you get to see all the sights and what not. With that being said, ever since I saw Cars I've wanted to take the Route 66 road trip.

3. North Dakota

My grandma grew up on a farm in North Dakota, and I think that it would be an awesome trip to go see that farm.

4. Grand Canyon

I hear a lot of talk about the Grand Canyon, and I think it is something that you have to see at least once in your lifetime.

5. Chicago

I live in Milwaukee, WI and sadly I've never been to Chicago. I know its only a few hours away, but I've never been able to make the trip down there and enjoy everything that is in Chicago.

6. Maine

I love light houses, and Maine is the state that is known for it's light houses. I would take a road trip to Maine just to see those light houses.

7. Egypt

I have an Uncle from Egypt, and I've seen pictures of it, and it looks gorgeous there. I would love to go to see all the beauty they have there.

8. New York

I'm not big on the big city lifestyle that much, but I feel that New York is one of those places that you have to experience at least once.

9. Alaska

Alaska is a very beautiful state. I would love to see the Alaskan beauty and all the nature up there. It would make for a very photogenic trip.

10. California

California is like New York. I feel like its a place that you have to experience once in your life, and once you've experienced it you're good. Unless you end up loving it, which I don't know if I could. I would miss my family too much.

11. South Dakota

Mount Rushmore is something that I've only seen pictures of, and it is something that I wish I could see in real life. I would love to visit South Dakota to see Mount Rushmore and the Black Hills National Forest. I'm big on the scenery.

I would love to see all of these places one day, and maybe I will, but as of right now they are some of my dream vacations.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

Being pre-med is quite a journey. It’s not easy juggling school work, extracurricular activities, volunteering, shadowing, research, and MCAT prep all at the same time. Ever heard of “pain is temporary, but GPA is forever?” Pre-meds don’t just embody that motto; we live and breathe it. Here are 10 symptoms you’re down with the pre-med student syndrome.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.

One Book Made Me Question Existence In Its Entirety

"The Stranger" by Albert Campus touches upon many heavy elements... but not in the way you expect. Although it touches upon the aspects of death and love, it also deals with a hidden philosophy similar to that of nihilism.

The story follows the short life events of Meursault, a Frenchman whose carelessness for his actions eventually ends him in jail and dependent on a jury of people to judge the ethicality of his decision and the punishment that he deserves. He eventually gets the death penalty and all throughout he is nonchalant and almost apathetic towards his situation. He finally snaps when the prison sends a priest to him to absolve him of his sins and to cajole him in confessing to the lord.
