I remember the first time I met you. I was young and naive to the likes of you, and my parents didn't quite approve of our meeting. They said that I was too young for you. At first, I had to agree. You were more bitter than I expected, and I didn't know if I was ready to let that bitterness into my life. Of course, a little bit down the road I decided to give you a chance, and that is when I became addicted.
I'm not sure what it is that causes me to love you most. Maybe it's your welcoming smell or the way you instantly make me feel more alive. All I know is from the moment I committed myself to you, I've been hooked and I don't think there is any going back.
You're the first thing I think about when I wake up in the morning, and after all, they do say that means true love. It's nearly impossible for me to go a day without you, and those that I'm forced to, I feel empty and the day drags on. Whenever I need a pick-me-up, you're always there to lift my spirits, whether that's to start my day, get me through a busy afternoon or unwind in the evening.
You're never too far away. It seems wherever I am, you're just a short walk down the street. Everyone loves, adores and welcomes you just as much as I do.
You motivate me. When I am feeling uninspired I know to turn to you. It seems no matter how stressed or exhausted I am, you find a way to keep me going.
No matter the season, you're always prepared. You keep me warm in the winter and cool in the summer, just as any gentleman should.
Your only downfall is the expense that comes with being with you. While I love you with all my heart, my bank account likely does not feel the same way. However, I know there is no way to break this bond that we have and that life without you would be pointless, empty and lacking.
Thank you for all that you do and for truly being the love of my life. Thank you for understanding my strengths and weaknesses and being there when I need you the most. I am confident my love for you will never lessen, and I hope to always have you as a part of my life. Through the good and the bad, I know you'll always be a brew away.
