Don't forget to check it twice!

My Christmas List
Volume Nine

It is never too early to get out a Christmas list, and frankly I think I’m a little behind. So, let’s dive right in shall we…

1. Cole Sprouse

This may be a little difficult, but this man is amazing. Mom, I’m SURE you’ll love him. I mean have you seen Riverdale, The Suite Life, his instagram? Come on…

2. Lili Reinhart

This girl is my idol, she is perfect and I just want to be her best friend.

3. Ian Somerhalder

I know, he’s married and has a baby and is like twice my age, but I would absolutely MELT if I was even in the same city as him.

4. A Free College Tuition (Undergrad and Grad)

Yeah, I’m looking at you Financial Aid.

5. An Expense Free Trip to Greece, Australia, Turks & Caicos, Ireland, Pretty Much Everywhere

I want to travel….what can I say?

6. A meeting with J. K. R. and John Green

I might cry the whole time, but I would at least my bring some of my work to get some feedback. *If this is too difficult, Barnes and Noble gift cards will be accepted*

7. $1,000,000,000,000

I don’t know how this sum will be obtained, and probably the less I know, the better.

*I’m a college student, I would probably kiss your feet for $5*

8. Cabin Socks/Holiday Socks

I love socks.

9. HP Sprocket Printer Paper

They’re little (2x3”) pieces of paper for my mini printer. I want to keep printing photos so I can see all your beautiful faces everyday while I’m at school.

10. Family Recipes

I have an entire index card of recipes that I would love to have so one day I can make them for my family. I hope to keep adding to it, but in the meantime, if this is a gift you would like to bless me with contact me privately so we keep the recipes secret (lol at you recipe stealers).

I realize that this is sort of last minute and that some of the items may be a little tricky to find and obtain so if you cannot follow this exactly, just know that I don’t really need anything and the greatest gift of all would to just be with you all at my favorite time of year. xx

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

There have been many lessons learned.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
