A few weeks ago, an article was posted on Odyssey that started circulating immediately entitled "My Child Will Not Be Allowed To Be Transgender."
As a Christian woman I look forward to the day that I will become a mother, and I pray daily for my future husband and future family. I know that there's a lot that goes into being a mother and I'm extremely grateful for the way that my mom and dad chose to raise me. Every millennial will soon have to make choices regarding their own family's and how they want their children to be raised.
This author says that her children will not be allowed to be transgender and that though she doesn't hate her homosexual and transgender friends, she doesn't support their decisions.
If one of my children someday comes to me and tells me that they identify as part of the LGBTQIA+ community, I will not shame them, I will not tell them that they aren't allowed to be transgender. I will simply pray for discernment on how to best raise my child. There are some things that I won't allow for my child, however.
