People come and go, but family is forever. My brother is always there and is my all time best friend for many different reasons.

1. He judges me, but still loves me.

My brother and I judge each other all the time; that's what siblings do. But when we judge each other we joke about it and mean nothing harmful by it.

2. He Is there when I need him.

Whenever I've been either happy or upset, my brother is always there. Even if he's not physically with me, I can still text him.

3. We watch out for each other.

As much as I have his back, he has mine.

4. He keeps me company.

If I'm alone at home and he is also, he'll come hang out with me if I want him to.

5. We have so many inside jokes.

My brother and I have jokes and looks we give each other that only we understand. Nobody else does.

6. We have our own language.

There's a bunch of words we've made up, so only we know what we're saying when we say them. Most times we're making fun of something.

7. He makes me laugh the hardest.

No matter what mood I may be in, he always can say or do something to make me laugh till I, most likely, start crying of laughter.

8. He doesn't get mad if I steal his clothes.

He steals my hats and I steal his hoodies, shirts, or sweatpants. That's just how it is and he's learned to accept it.

9. When in big crowds, we stick together.

At especially family events we both get awkward and just hang out with one another.

10. He is always down to take a picture with me.

He never really cares what he looks like. If I ask for him to take a picture with me, he does.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
