What is life without a best friend? Someone who is there to support you through all your phases and love you with every bad decision. Someone who laughs at all your terrible jokes. Someone who takes your side in every situation, no matter how wrong you actually are.
I know I would literally be nowhere in life if it was not for my best friend. You mean a great deal to me so this is my thank you letter to you for simply being you; my best friend.
It has been several years of friendship that I am beyond thankful for, despite the ups and downs. Sure, we fight, but that is what best friends do. That is a part of being so close. We are not afraid to tell each other what we think. We are not afraid to be stubborn with one another, because no matter what, we will still remain best friends.
Thank you for all the little things that have made our friendship strong. Thank you for singing all the Disney songs with me, especially Hannah Montana. Thank you for making random YouTube videos with me, even when we just looked stupid. Thank you for pulling several all-nighters with me on several occasions. Thank you for the many, MANY laughs about stupid things that no one else will ever understand.
Thank you for all the serious things that have made us sisters at heart. Thank you for letting me cry on your shoulder when my ex broke up with me. Thank you for not letting me go even when I've done terrible things to our friendship. Thank you for understanding that sometimes boyfriends take us away. Thank you for always making sure we made plans despite having busy schedules. Thank you for loving God and knowing that He will always come first.
Now for the cliches. Thank you for being the Blaire to my Serena. Thank you for being the Patrick to my SpongeBob. Thank you for being the Christina to my Meredith. And thank you for being the Lilly to my Miley.
It has been several years now and we really could not be any stronger in our friendship. We are getting older and with that will come distance, but I will never forget about all the wonderful times we have had. As we get married and start our families, my children will get to see first-hand how wonderful a friendship can be. They will get to experience a wonderful Aunt that blood did not give, but God did. We may end up living several miles apart, but our hearts will keep us closer than ever. When life gets busy, remember that I am always here, whether it is a car ride or air plane ride away.
My best friend, thank you for being the amazingly talented and beautiful you.
