There are very few teenagers who can genuinely say their mother is their best friend. I am blessed enough to have an extremely strong relationship with the extremely strong woman I call my mom.
My mom is a warrior princess. There is no greater fitting term I can find for her than that. She is a champion and fighter above all. She has overcome great adversities while still maintaining a grace that so many people lack.
My mom is a mentor. She's an excellent leader. She has given me my communication and people skills, which I closely use in identifying who I am as person. Seeing her accomplish so much in academics and the work place has shown me all that I am capable of as well.
My mom is a comedian. She pulls goofy faces and jokes on the daily. There hasn't been a day of my life that she hasn't made laugh. We practically cry because we laugh so hard so frequently. We just click with our humor and silly way of speaking.
My mom is a woman I aspire to be. She has such wisdom and strength, such beauty and grace. I hope to imitate all of her best qualities, I know she's already passed many on to me. She does so much good for others and has always cared to her deepest capabilities.
My mom is a great comfort. She is the only person who has always been there for me. Anytime I need help or the tears came rolling down she was the one there. She was the one there every time I broke down. When I had no one else I had her.
My mom is my best friend. At the end of the day I will always have her. I miss her when we spend too much time apart. I cannot imagine a world without her. Shopping, playing cards, and binge watching the Gilmore Girls are pastimes reserved for her. We have a special way of communicating and spending time together that I wouldn't trade for the word. I love my mom.
Thank you for everything mom. Happy Mother's Day.
