My Best Friend In High School

To my high school best friend,

High school wouldn't have been the same without you. I don't know how I would've gotten through Senior year without anyone like you. Hell I didn't even think I'd get through it. But I survived, no, we survived it together. I still remember the first class that we had together.

I remember sitting alone at a lunch table. You came over and introduced yourself. We became inseperable since that day. Every day we would have lunch together. And in class we would sit next to each other. We got close to each other. I was no longer a loner in high school.

We became a part of student government together. We started hanging out outside of school too. Those were some of the best nights ever. Hanging around and playing "Just Dance." Those were the good times. None I could ever forget.

I surely do miss those days. I miss my friend too most times. Most of those nights are just memories in the wind now. Ones that I wouldn't forget. Thanks for all those great moments and good times. We spent a lot of time together during high school.

Those were the moments that made me happy. The times where I had my friend over to hang out with me. I'll never forget the night that you came over for your birthday. You brought your ice cream cake with you. And we were all eating it like little kids. That was an awesome night.

There was that week in high school. When my Nana passed away. I was having a pretty bad week. And we skipped school two days out of that week. Just went on septa to all three malls that week. That made me feel a lot better than I did. I just wanted to get away from it all. You were one of the few people to be there for me when that happened. At the time I couldnt thank you enough.

I was so happy that we spent prom night together. I always wanted a group picture with my friends for prom and I got the one I wanted. Then that night you slept over a long with a few others. I loved that night. The day of graduation was one of the best. When we took photos together. And got our diplomas together. Those were the best days ever.

Thank you for all those good times. Here's to hoping we'll meet up again. And do some real fun things together. Just like we use to. Thanks for making me feel like someone when I felt invisible. Thanks for being mt best friend back in high school. Thanks for still talking to me sometimes.

Your Friend,

Angela

an image of taylor swift standing center stage surrounded by her backup dancers in elegant peacock esque outfits with a backdrop of clouds and a box rising above the stage the image captures the vibrant aesthetics and energy of her performance during the lover era of her eras tour

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
