In honor of my beach vacation with the amazing girls in my Girl Scout troop this week, I have compiled a list of 15 songs for any 2016 summer beach trips. These are some of the songs that I have been enjoying on the radio lately, and some of them are ones that the kids at my summer camp insisted should be included in my current top songs list. I hope you guys enjoy my picks!!

15. "Stone Cold" by Demi Lovato.

I decided to begin with two songs from an artist, whose voice I absolutely adore: Demi Lovato. Both of these songs are not exactly from this year, but I like them. It is my list, and I can include some throwbacks. "Stone Cold" is just hauntingly beautiful, and I can picture myself now belting out the high notes watching the waves come in and out.

14. "Heart Attack" by Demi Lovato.

This is my second Demi song, and it's just so catchy it had to be included in my list for this summer beach trip.

13. "Bad Blood" by Taylor Swift ft. Kendrick Lamar.

Next, I thought I would check and see what was on the charts this time last year. Last summer, these next four songs were very popular. Even today, I don't think anyone will be upset that I've brought these four songs back for this summer. To start with, "Bad Blood" is a great jam, and it will be perfect for the car ride.

12. "Cheerleader" by OMI.

I thought that Cheerleader was catchy last summer, and that opinion still holds. I will definitely enjoy dancing to this song.

11. "Shut Up and Dance" by Walk the Moon.

I rocked out to this song with the kids at my summer camp last summer, and I had to bring it along for this beach trip.

10. "Thinking Out Loud" by Ed Sheeran.

My last throwback is this amazing Ed Sheeran song. Let's face it. Like the soul of the one you love, this song will never grow old.

9. "Stitches" by Shawn Mendes.

I guess that this song could be considered a throwback, but it still gets played on the radio all the time. Therefore, I will be counting it as 2016 summer favorite. It's just so catchy; you can't help but love Shawn's 17-year-old voice.

8. "Wherever I Go" by One Republic.

I've really been enjoying hearing this new One Republic song on the radio. I think it has the perfect tempo and melody to be a great beach song.

7. "No" by Meghan Trainor.

This is one of the songs that my summer camp kids are absolutely obsessed with. They love Meghan Trainor, and they adore this song. Some of my third grade girls have even performed the rap for me. I think this song will be great for the car ride and on the beach.

6. "Unsteady" by X Ambassadors.

I have definitely enjoyed hearing this hauntingly beautiful song on the radio, but I didn't know the artist until I began researching for this article. I really enjoy this tune, and I think it will be great for lounging on the beach.

5. "Let It Go" by James Bay.

This is another romantic and pretty song that I'm really enjoying at the moment. I think this song will also be wonderful for singing while lying on the beach or at the pool.

4. "Lost Boy" by Ruth B.

This is another song that all of the kids at summer camp love! Every time it comes on the radio while we are in the bus, we have to turn it all the way up so that everyone can sing along. I really love Ruth B.'s voice in this song, and I think it is a perfect addition to this list.

3. "Send My Love" (To Your New Lover) by Adele.

This new Adele song is very upbeat and catchy, and it seems to be a new and interesting style for her. I think this one will be perfect for all of us to sing along with on the beach.

2. "7 Years" by Lukas Graham.

This song seems to be on the radio every time I turn it on. It is very catchy, and it gets stuck in my head so easily. It has been popular for a little while now (just ask the kids at summer camp who know every word), so I think we will all definitely be able to sing along to this one.

1. "Can't Stop the Feeling" by Justin Timberlake.

My number one song for this 2016 beach trip is this incredible new song by Justin Timberlake. It is so fun, and all of the kids at camp heartily approve of this song. It'll be great for us to dance to, sing with, and just jam out to on our beach trip.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies. Here is a few signs that you may live in the library, whether you'd like to admit it or not.
