One of the best things about the summer-to-fall transition is the new season premieres of some of the hottest shows. Here are some of most popular shows you must start watching, or return to watching this fall:
"Scandal" -- Thursday, Sept. 24, on ABC
Season 5 is going to be the season you don't want to miss. Season 4 left us wondering what's going on with the love affair of Olivia Pope and the all-so-dreamy President Fitzgerald Grant. Mellie has packed her belongings and been ordered to leave, so will Olivia swoop on in? And what's the deal with the Pope associates? What are Cyrus, Quinn, Huck, Jake, Abby and David up to? One thing's for sure, Shonda Rhimes is giving us a crazy, plot-twisted season.
"Quantico" -- Sunday, Sept, 27, on ABC
If you want a thriller in your life, this is one badass show you have to watch. A series that looks at the lives of young FBI recruits training at the Quantico base in Virginia, these recruits are the best, the brightest and the most vetted. It seems merely impossible that one of them is suspected to be the mastermind of the biggest attack on New York City since 9/11. This series contains crazy plot twists, hidden love affairs and secret pasts.
"Grandfathered" -- Tuesday, Sept. 29 on FOX
We've all been through the obsession of "Full House" with the endless crush on Uncle Jesse. Well, brace yourselves because John Stamos is starring in a new comedy series, this time as a playboy. Oh, but it gets even better -- he discovers that he not only has a son, but a granddaughter as well. He goes from playboy to grandfather real quick. John Stamos stars as Jimmy Martino, the hottie of the town and very available, highly successful bachelor/restaurateur whose 20-something-year-old son, played by Josh Peck (TBT TO DRAKE AND JOSH!), suddenly shows up with his adorable daughter, Edie.
"Grey's Anatomy" -- Thursday, Sept. 24 on ABC
The all-so-popular series is returning this fall to kick off its 12th season, which is bound to be a good one. There are new romances, new friendships, and of course, new hospital stories. Check out what Meredith Grey and the Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital gang will be up to when the series returns this fall. This season, the show has a brighter, more calming look. It's going back to more of the original "Grey’s" and has a little bit of a lighter tone this season"Blood & Oil" -- Sunday, Sept. 27, on ABC
This new TV series follows a young couple who moved to Williston, North Dakota, after the biggest oil discovery was made. This show highlights the couples' trials and tribulations in the "Wild West." They soon find themselves pitted against a ruthless tycoon who forces them to put everything on the line, including their marriage. There are many hidden deals and secrets going down in effort to get rich. This a new and mysterious series you don't want to miss.
"Limitless" -- Tuesday, Sept. 22, on CBS
Based on the 2011 hit film "Limitless," this TV series is centered on the main character Brian Finch (played by Jake McDorman) who uses highly influential drugs to increase his intelligence. This crazy drug increases his IQ to a four-digit number (unheard of) that gives him the ability to perfectly recall everything he has ever read, seen or heard. If that isn't incentive enough to watch this series, did I mention the hunk Bradley Cooper will be making some recurring appearances throughout the show that he's executively producing?!
"Dr. Ken" -- Friday, Oct. 2, on ABC
You all know and love Ken Jeong—he's the crazy and ridiculously hilarious Asian man seen in all of the "Hangover" series. Now he's starring in his own family sitcom where he plays a doctor loosely based on his real life before he was an actor. He is always trying to be a good doctor as well as a good husband to his wife and father to his children. Luckily his therapist, who's also his wife, is the perfect partner to keep him sane.
So grab your popcorn and your glass of wine (or maybe the whole bottle), and enjoy these new and returning series bound to make fall TV time a good one.
