After spending most of my summer on Cape Cod and stopping at nearly every Ice Cream shop from the Canal to Race Point, I have found some of my favorite places to stop and enjoy a cold treat after a long beach day! Naturally, stopping at an Ice Cream shop is a daily summer activity for me, but dreaming about the sunny days ahead with a waffle cone in my hand is getting me through the next few winter months! I mean, who doesn't love Ice Cream!?

While you are counting down to the summer months ahead, here are only a few Ice Cream places on Cape Cod to add to your summer 'to do' list.

1. Sundae School

Located in Harwich Port, East Orleans, and Dennisport, Sundae School offers frappes, Ice Cream Sodas, Banana splits, and of course-- Ice Cream Sundaes! Whether you order a regular sundae or a super sundae, make sure you top your sundae off with their real (and delicious) whipped cream, famous hot fudge, and a fresh Bing cherry.

2. Cape Cod Creamery

You can't miss this Ice Cream shop-- Not only because of their bright yellow and blue chairs, but also because they have some of the best Ice Cream on the Cape! Located in Hyannis and South Yarmouth, Cape Cod Creamery names all of their Ice Cream flavors after places on the Cape. My favorite flavors are Orleans Oreo and Iyanough Cookie Dough.

3. Somerset Creamery

Based out of Somerset Massachusetts, Somerset Creamery also has a shop located on Route 28A in Cataumet. They offer not only a large variety of Ice Cream flavors, but they also have some amazing toppings too! Specifically made for the Cape Cod store, Somerset Creamery also offers a cranberry flavored Ice Cream. Inside this creation are walnuts, dark chocolate, craisins, and cranberry based Ice Cream. While you are there, check out their homemade waffle cones too!

4. Four Seas

Serving homemade sandwiches and homemade Ice Cream, Four Seas also serves sherberts and sorbets, as well as delicious frozen yogurt! A favorite flavor of mine here is the lemon sorbet and fresh strawberry Ice Cream. Even after a long day at the beach, people stand in line outside of the door for this well known Cape Cod Ice Cream shop. But have no fear-- the line moves quickly!

5. Ice Cream Smuggler

Located by some of the hidden beaches on the Bay side of Cape Cod, Ice Cream Smuggler is located in Dennis off of Route 6A. It offers a long list of Ice Cream flavors, one of my favorites being apple pie. When I stopped by the Smuggler on Fourth of July weekend this past summer, the shop served perfect scoops of red, white, and blue Ice Cream in a waffle cone!

No matter where you are on the Cape, at any given time, there is always an Ice Cream shop close by. At the end of a long day in the sun, check out these delicious Ice Cream shops, and try a new flavor-- you won't regret it!

Sorority
Rebekah Lee

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
