If you are in the mood to relax, but also enjoy some time out of the house, here are a few movies to watch out for this summer.

1. "Jurassic World."

Release date: June 12.
Genre: action/adventure.

A dinosaur adventure park quickly becomes a hunting ground when an Indominus Rex flees into the jungle, and sparks madness, as the guests quickly turn into prey. Twenty-two years after the original, hopes for Jurassic Park failed. It is up to Owen (Chris Pratt) to help save the park when an attempt to re-vamp visitor interest goes awry.

2. "Inside Out."

Release date: June 19.
Genre: animation/comedy.

Pixar has done it again. With the second highest opening weekend behind "Toy Story 3" in 2010, this movie brought in $91.1 million in U.S. ticket sales, according to The Hollywood Insider. "Inside Out" is an animated film that features a young girl, named Riley, who tackles some of life’s most challenging emotions: joy, anger, fear, sadness, and disgust. Featuring the voices of Amy Poehler and Mindy Kaling, "Inside Out" is sure to offer a few laughs. Whether you are babysitting for the summer, or you are a sucker for animated movies, this is a must see.

3. "Ted 2."

Release date: June 26.
Genre: comedy.

In this hilarious sequel, Ted must prove that he is in fact a human, with human rights, to become a father to his new child. With the help of his thunder buddy for life, John, played by Mark Wahlberg, Ted will have to prove himself in a court of law, or watch his dreams of parenthood slip away.

Release date: July 1.

Every girl’s guilty pleasure is at it again. With the Kings of Tampa wanting to go out with a bang, Channing Tatum and the rest of the cast plan one last performance in Myrtle Beach. With a few stops along the way to pick up some familiar faces and meet some new ones, Magic Mike XXL will make every girl fall in love with Channing Tatum all over again.

Release date: July 10.
Genre: horror/thriller.

A small town high school attempts to re-create an onstage performance of “The Gallows," in which a student, Charlie Grimille, accidentally hung himself 20 years earlier. On the night before the anniversary of this horrific accident, students break into the school to sabotage the set, but they soon realize that they are not alone in the school.

Release date: July 10.
Genre: drama/thriller.

What would you do if you found out that you were dying of cancer? "Self/Less" features a wealthy man, played by Bryan Kingsley, who transfers his consciousness to a younger healthier body (Ryan Reynolds) when he finds out that he is dying of cancer. But everything comes with a price, as he soon finds out that the organization that helped him save his life will kill to protect itself.

7. "Trainwreck."

Release date: July 17.
Genre: comedy.

Directed by Judd Apatow, the man who brought all of us many laughs in "Bridesmaids" (2011), "Trainwreck" features a new face of comedy,with Amy Schumer in this hilarious film about a girl who wholeheartedly believes that monogamy is unrealistic. All of that changes when she slowly begins to fall for the subject of her new article, a sports doctor played by Bill Hader.

8. "Paper Towns."

Release Date: July 24.
Genre: mystery/romance/drama.

From best selling author, John Greene, "Paper Towns" features a young boy who is infatuated with his mysterious neighbor. Margo, played by Cara Delevingne, enlists Quentin (Nat Wolff) to go on an all night adventure to get revenge on those who have wronged her. When Margo suddenly disappears, Quentin must follow the mysterious clues she left behind in order to find her.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."
